ICDL GCC Foundation, the governing body of the ICDL certification program in the Gulf States and Iraq, announced today the launch of its Academy membership program with the aim of upgrading the standards of computer training being offered in the region. The Academy program plans to distinguish and engage those renowned Academic and training institutions that already have a longstanding partnership with ICDL, to accommodate large-scale national projects requiring wide geographical coverage with reach to remote areas. ICDL GCC Foundation, the governing body and the certification authority of the International Computer Driving License program in the Gulf States and Iraq, has recently launched the ICDL Computer Summer Camps 2011, which will be attended by thousands of students from all over the GCC region. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the computer summer camps, an initiative that aims at spreading digital awareness and empowering the young generation with the skills and competencies that will make them confident in the use of computers and socially well rounded.
